How to set up a permanent fence with poly-hardware mesh

1. Mark where you want to set up the fence
2. Drive down stakes about 40 cm outside of where each corner and tie string to them. Where the strings cross is the location of each corner. This is where you will position a post.
3. Select the spots where you want to place the posts and dismount the smaller stakes also the strings.
4. Put up metal posts around the perimeter every two meters.
   
   

You can use cement to make the posts more permanent or fill in the holes with soil. If you are planning on cementing your posts in place, you should make the holes, digging them by hand with a shovel or an auger. They should be 20-30 cm deep and 20-30 cm wide. Next step pour in the cement and put the post in the hole, pushing it down until it touches the bottom. Ensure that the post is perpendicular to the ground. When the cement is completely dry and hard, add the mesh for fencing.

How to calculate how tall the posts for your fence should be:

Height of the fence + 20 or 30 cm for the hole + 1 or 2 cm, so the post is taller than the mesh.
How to place the posts directly in the soil without cement

1. Dig holes in the ground. They should be about 50 cm deep.
2. Put the posts in place.
3. Add soil around the post and compact it.

Important: The posts should be at least 1 cm higher than the netting.
How to calculate the height of posts for placement directly in the soil without cement:

Height of the fence + 50 cm to be buried + 1 or 2 cm, so the post is taller than the mesh.

We recommend adding plastic-coated cable through the holes in the posts. This will make your fence stronger. After you can tie the mesh to this cable. To add the mesh, first, you need to unroll it the length of the posts that you’ve positioned. Next, you tie the mesh to the cables also the posts using plastic-coated cable or plastic zip ties. Completed this step, you need to check your posts are lined up and that the cables also netting are tense.
