SCROG net. The ideal support for hemp.

Save time and money: use MALLAJUANA Scrog Net to easily create the screen for your Scrog.

What is the Scrog method for?

S.C.R.O.G. is the acronym which means Screen of Green used to define the scrog net. The purpose of the Scrog netting method is to bring the lower buds up to the netting, so they can receive light and develop properly, as part of the canopy. MALLAJUANA Scrog net is useful for training the buds to grow on an horizontal layer. A proper Scrog supports the plant spreading out horizontally across the net. In additions controlling the height of the plants prevents the buds to be burnt out under the light. The scrog net is used for plants that tend to grow straight up. The idea is to top the plant to split the main arm into different arms and to force them to expand horizontally through the net to reach enough amount of light. As a consequence the leaf surface area will increase and so direct access to the light. Thanks to HORTO clips you can fix the arms and make space for others to come out. Be careful to not top to much, because as much you top, less the size of the buds. As you are guiding the plants to produce more branches be sure to provide the plants with the proper nutrients so the root becomes strong enough to support the bigger canopy.

Major benefits using MALLAJUANA Scrog net

When plants are too high, out of control, and the lower leafs don’t get the light, so you are actually losing part of production, you need a Scrog netting method. Scrog net is ultralight and flexible so you can easily put every branch thought it, one branch for square. It is a very resistant structure so it is ideal to support all the vegetative material of a Scrog. Figure out how much scrog net you might need, measuring the cultivation. You can easily cut the scrog net by common trimmers, so it is possible to lay the net over the top of the plants, and then adjust the area. It is always better to have and extra net available if it is the case. You can use any kind of post to tight the net but it is not mandatory. When the buds grow the weight also increases and you might want a more flexible screen that you can easily manage and adjust. MALLAJUANA Scrog net is not only the perfect support for your plant, avoiding it to collapse, and so allowing a better development. It also prevents many bacteria and fungus to attack the crops. In fact MALLAJUANA Scrog net facilitates the air circulation into the canopy. This is especially important when temperature and humidity are high. Furthermore, MALLAJUANA Scrog net is made out of polypropylene, which is a strong and uniform material that doesn’t absorb water. So it does not attract bacteria or fungus. U.V. resistant, it can stand under light for years. It is washable and reusable. As a consequence it is very economical.

HORTOMALLAS manufactures and markets crop support nettings (trellising and tutoring as alternatives to the raffia twine labor intensive traditional system) that increase crop quality. Our Mission is to: INCREASE VEGETABLE CROP YIELD AND PROFITABILITY TO ALL THOSE VEGETABLES THAT NEED TUTORING AND SUPPORT USING NETTING INSTEAD OF RAFFIA. Since 1994 we help professional growers and farmers improve their cucumber, tomatoes, melon, zucchini, bean, chile, peppers crops where trellises and supports are needed. HORTOMALLAS is the ideal system for cucurbitacea and solonacea to improve their phytosanitary conditions, while increasing the solar exposure and the brix degrees. Besides the obvious labor costs savings, the use of HORTOMALLAS increases the life span of the plant, allowing longer periods of harvests and of a greater quality.
