Horticultural shade cloth: uniform diffusion of light and air
Shade cloth can provide anywhere from 20% to 90% shading, depending on how tightly woven it is. It guarantees adequate protection from sunlight, permitting improvement of produce quality. More than anything it protects against temperature fluctuations. It also allows advancing or postponing planting, fruit maturation, and flowering.
It is lightweight and easy to put up.
INVERNAVELO frost blanket: protective barrier against sudden temperature change
INVERNAVELO is a non-woven agricultural fleece that protects crops from the cold and frosts. It is recommended that it be applied over top of standing produce, stalks, and potted plants during cold snaps, especially at night.
It creates a microclimate that efficiently protects plants from the cold, wind, rain, hail, snow, and even from insects. At the same time, it allows water and light to pass through. It also serves to insulate the roots, hinder water from freezing, and improves plant health. Lastly, it advances seed germination.
In urban areas [in places like Mexico] it prevents contamination, which is usually most intense during winter, from accumulating on the leaves.
Anti-aphid netting: the best passive protection against insects
The anti-aphid agricultural fleece gets used to protect crops from insects and diminish the population of invaders. It is a very dense fabric with a perturbing effect that prevents insects from passing through, including aphids. To avoid large losses of produce and to guarantee constant protection in a simple and economical manner, this fabric can be placed directly on top of the crop.
More articulated structures are also possible which permit creating more space for the plants. In all cases, in order for the protection to be effective, the fabric should be put in place before planting the crop and care taken to close all openings.

Windbreak netting: protection and conservation of plants
Windbreak netting represents a widely-used protection in the horticultural field since the effects of the wind cannot always be considered beneficial for crops. Frequently strong blasts of wind can cause significant damage. It is made of durable material in order to assure a long useful life.
On one hand, it reduces the mechanical action of the wind. On the other hand, being quite opaque, it also gets used for privacy fencing. Some windbreak netting can prevent the passage of particles of sand. Being quite versatile, the netting can be attached to a support structure of wood, metal, or concrete, in order get stretched out so that it is quite tight.
Bird netting: better harvest quality and quantity
This agricultural fleece for bird control, protects seedlings, crops, and fruit trees from birds. It is made from tough and durable extruded polyethylene. It is safe and does not constitute a danger for birds.
GUACAMALLA is a very tough netting that can easily be taken down and stored at the end of the harvest. That way it can be reused year after year.
Windbreak netting, as well as bird netting, is very useful for protecting fruit bearing plants, especially berries.
Berry production in general and blueberry production in particular, the same as for many high value crops, is very sensitive to environmental conditions and is highly vulnerable to attacks by birds.
Investment in windbreak and bird control netting in agriculture can have long term benefits, assuring better quality and quantity.
Windbreak netting can be erected directly onto tunnel structures. That way crops will also be protected from full sun and have adequate air flow.
Ant-bird netting can be installed on the side openings of tunnels, on support structures outdoors, or directly on top of berry plants.
Anti-hail netting: guarantee of high-quality produce
Agricultural fleece is used for protecting crops from hail damage. Made from UV stabilized monofilament polyethylene, it is a very tough netting that is flexible but that also holds its form.
The active defense of anti-hail netting is the only way to be sure of the production and commercialization of high-quality produce.
With the netting forming a V in the middle of the row, the netting remains stretched out tight. This way, the hailstones will get funneled down toward the center where they tend to get discharged to the ground.
Garden fabric weed barrier: production labor saver
Do not allow weeds to absorb your crop’s nutrients: use GROUND-COVER garden fabric.
In organic agriculture it is not possible to use chemical fertilizers. If we want to avoid spending hours pulling weeds by hand, the best method is to use weed barrier fabric. The ground around the seedlings gets covered in such a way that volunteer plants do not have light nor space to grow.
That is how the use of harmful herbicides are avoided.
Weed barrier agricultural fleece also maintains soil heat. This can be a good thing in order to avoid frost and weather changes that could harm the plants by protecting crops as though it were a blanket.
Additionally, it contributes to conserving soil moisture. As a result, water and time are saved, especially in drier areas.
Thanks to the ground cover, the soil remains looser, saving the produce grower from needing to aerate the soil.
Weed barrier rolls can be rolled out quickly and easily. They also take up little space for storage and can be reused after the end of a season.
